Help FAQ
This page contains general help tips for using Web Builder
How do I update the logo on my Website
The logo supplied is just a place holder for your logo, and you will be able to replace it with your own logo by following the following simple steps:
- Use an Image Editing programme such as Microsoft Paint, Paint Shop or Photo Shop to open your existing logo
- Resize / Crop the logo to precisely 122 Pixels Wide and 82 Pixels High
- Save the file on your system in GIF format.
- The file name must be called company-logo.gif
- The file name does not have spaces and must be exactly as above
- Login to your Web Builder administration area
- Delete the existing logo (by using Web Builder resource management area - clicking on the file cabinet icon), and upload the file saved on (4).
HINT: If you employ a graphic designer to produce your letterheads, they will also be able to give you the LOGO in the appropriate format and cut it to the correct size and file format (GIF) - this should take a proficient designer less than 15 minutes to achieve. If someone else produced the logo according to the specification above, you will just need to upload it (steps 6 and 7)
If your logo does not fit on the space provided, we suggest that you should consider an adjustment to the design to satisfy your specific needs. Please use the Quotation Form to request a quote for this service.
How do I login to the administration area to update my site
The URL (Web Address) of the administration area is the same as your Website URL with "/site/admin" added to the end of it.
Your site is www.mycompany.com.au , the address to update the information will be www.mycompany.com.au/site/admin
Why when I go to my Website, the address bar has the word "site" added to the end of my Website name?
The Web Builder product always operate under the /site directory, by design.
Each individual page will have a unique URL in the format:
www.mycompany.com.au/site/default.asp?action=showContent&contentID=1
You can EMAIL this unique URL to a business associate, and he/she will be able to go directly to that page on your site.
